The benefactor of the YCWH Trust, Mrs. Yeoh Choy Wai Haan was from one of the oldest Families of Hong Kong. Throughout her life she was passionate about helping the less well off in Hong Kong. She worked tirelessly for the Hong Kong Family Welfare Association. In her life time, she donated funds to public hospitals, such as United Christian Hospital, Grantham Hospital as well as to Orbis, Little sisters of the poor and her alma mater secondary school St. Stephen’s Girl’s College.

When she passed away she entrusted a sum of money to her nephew, Mr. Michael Choa. He then established a charity trust, so name as the YCWH Trust with his Aunt’s funds to continue the charitable aims of his Aunt.

YCWH Trust is a private family foundation registered under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance and administrated by HSBC Trustee (Hong Kong) Limited.
